Jack was our 'surprise' baby! Our older two boys were 16 and 13 when we got the news that we'd be expecting Jack. When our boys were small, we prayed and pleaded for another child but were told that I could not get pregnant again. So with much sadness, disappointment and tears we moved on. We eventually came to relish the new season of our life. Then very quietly into our lives came Jack. He was born at 24 and a half weeks, too early. Again he came very quietly into our lives on a cold, rainy November day. Though he lived for one day, we never got to hear his cry. He did very well that first night, better than the doctors had expected. But then quietly he slipped from us the next day. He was and is very much loved. We prayed for this child and though we only had a short time with him, he was a blessing to our lives.
